Education
By providing information and education on the latest legal and professional practices, EBCBOR offers a broad array of professional development opportunities through courses, seminars and conferences that are both accessible and affordable. Whatever your specialty, you will find the industry's best educational opportunities offered by the REALTOR® Association.

General meetings, educational courses and special events provide you with several opportunities to network and develop relationships with others in real estate and affiliated fields.
Government Affairs
Legislative Advocacy
EBCBOR fights to protect private property rights and the right to conduct business without undue burdens. We oppose laws that would make it harder for homeowners to find decent and affordable places to live. REALTOR® lobbying efforts protect our members and their clients from harmful laws. We support laws that guard against any unnecessary hardships on the real estate transaction.
REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC)
RPAC assists in the election of candidates at the federal, state and local levels who are supportive of private property rights and the free enterprise system. Voluntary funds contributed to RPAC from EBCBOR members are used to make campaign contributions to political candidates at all levels of government. One hundred percent of your RPAC contributions support REALTOR®-friendly candidates, with 70 percent of RPAC funds allocated to support candidates for state and local offices and 30 percent being sent to the National Association to support congressional candidates. EBCBOR encourages volunteerism in campaigns and implements programs to educate voters on issues of importance to your industry.
Professional Standards
Arbitration & Mediation
You can use EBCBOR’s arbitration service to resolve commission disputes. To do so, you request a hearing by an impartial panel of the Professional Standards Committee. The panel reviews all pertinent evidence and testimony before rendering a decision. Arbitration is private. Mediation is used to resolve commission disputes and is offered prior to or in lieu of arbitration. Involved parties retain the right to arbitrate unless they execute a written settlement agreement. Mediation is private and costs nothing to file.
Code of Ethics
EBCBOR provides enforcement of the Code of Ethics, basic principles that guide the professional responsibilities of REALTORS®. All members subscribe to the Code of Ethics when joining the association and are subject to disciplinary action and sanctions if they violate the duties imposed by the Code of Ethics.

Only REALTOR® association members can use the nationally recognized REALTOR® trademarks and logos. To protect your rights, EBCBOR vigorously polices the misuse of REALTOR® trademarks by non-association members.
