The Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® is dedicated to “Advocating for REALTORS® and their Clients.” We utilize several different committees and coalitions and a full-time professional staff to effectively and efficiently achieve this goal.

REALTOR® Action Center

The realtoractioncenter.com is a grassroots online communications system which allows REALTORS® to stay informed about NAR’s lobbying agenda and be involved in public policy issues critical to the real estate industry. The online system targets NAR Calls-For-Action, provides systematic communications with NAR grassroots activists, and gives REALTORS® an option to e-mail or fax their member of Congress. Realty Transfer Fee

The Realty Transfer Fee is imposed upon the recording of deeds evidencing transfers of title to real property in the State of New Jersey. NJAR Legislative Issues Booklet

The NJAR Legislative Issues Booklet for the upcoming 2010-2011 session of the New Jersey State Legislature is now available at no cost online. This online booklet contains NJAR's positions on key issues facing New Jersey that may come before the State Legislature over the next two years. Issues such as property taxes, the realty transfer fee, seasonal rental taxes, eminent domain and potential energy efficiency requirements on homes being sold are among the topics included.
