(Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) - Many children in the Bergen County area face the prospect of arriving to their first day of school in September without the most basic of school supplies. In an effort help address some of the local kids of Bergen County, the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS (EBCBOR) Young Professionals Network (YPN) held their 5th Annual “Tools for Schools” Networking Benefit, at The Terrace at Biaggio’s in Paramus, NJ this past month.

EBCBOR’s Chief Executive Office, Jorge Ledesma said “Our Annual Tools for school fundraiser has become a stapled philanthropic event within the Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors. Realtors and industry professionals throughout Bergen County come together for the sole purpose of giving students the tools they need to succeed in the new scholastic year. The passion from our members to help raise and collect charitable good items is commendable and can be seen year after year. We are honored to be able to help the communities in which our members work and live.”

Members of the association as well as industry professionals showed their support by attending the networking event, and providing school supplies for donations. All school supplies collected at networking benefit were donated to the local Boys & Girls Club of Lodi.

YPN’s Chair, Justin Smith of Re/Max Signature Homes was very appreciative and humbled by the support REALTOR member give to this cause year after year. He stated "This is definitely one of my favorite events of the year.  Whenever you can give back to the community, especially the kids, you know you are making a difference. "

A not-for-profit trade organization, representing over 3,800 Realtor members, EBCBOR is dedicated to enhancing the success of its membership by providing them with political advocacy, community outreach and educational opportunities.
