 Chandrika Singh 2017 REALTOR® OF THE YEAR

 

Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. – The Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors® (EBCBOR) is pleased to announce, Chandrika ‘Basil’ Singh, Broker Manager of Century 21 All-Stars 100 in Teaneck was selected as its 2017 REALTOR® of the Year. Singh is recognized for his outstanding achievement in serving the EBCBOR, and the real estate industry. Singh will be formally honored by the New Jersey REALTORS® (NJR®) at an awards ceremony during the Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo in Atlantic City in December.  “I am extremely humbled and flattered by this award,” Said Basil “Within our Realtor community we have realtor professionals who are very devoted and invested not only to their career, but also to their communities. As I look at the list of past recipient and this year’s nominees, it truly humbles me to be part of such an amazing group.”

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is awarded annually to an EBCBOR member who contributes an outstanding amount of time and energy to community and humanitarian services, and the real estate industry. “We are pleased to honor Basil with this prestigious recognition for his dedication and service to EBCBOR. His contribution to the success of new and seasoned agents as well as the associations makes him a very valuable and distinguished member for our association”, said EBCBOR President, Randy Wine of Special Properties - Ridgewood.

Basil has been a practicing REALTOR® for over 23 years. During his tenure he has accomplished multiple mile stones in his career. He holds designations from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) for CIPS, ABR, SSR, GRI, MRP, and DPOR. Additionally he has been a Circle of Excellence recipient from 1995 – 2005, and 2013-2016. He was awarded the NJ Realtors Distinguished award in 2005 for being a Circle of Excellence recipient for 10 consecutive years.

On a local level, Basil has served in numerous committees over the years; he is currently a Director and board treasurer.  Additionally, he also serves on a state level for NJ Realtors® as a Director and is a member of multiple committees. He is a proud RPAC investor and advocate of the REALTOR Party which fights for homeownership rights.  

On a philanthropic level, Singh is involved with numerous organizations. Among those organizations are the Harlem Apollo young Patrons, Tommy Fox’s Charity for Disabled Children and The Orphanage for Displaced Children in his native country of Guyana.
