Hasbrouck Heights — Miriam Lambert, of Friedberg Properties in Alpine was recognized with the Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors’ (EBCBOR) 2017 Good Neighbor Award. Miriam was presented with the award at EBCBOR’s Midyear Conference & Legislative Update Meeting at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe.

The Annual EBCBOR Good Neighbor Award is presented to a REALTOR who has made extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their local and/or global community through volunteer efforts. Jorge Ledesma of REMAX Quality homes in Teaneck, and EBCBOR’s 2017 President, said “EBCBOR members do so much more than sell homes. It is commendable to know that our Realtor family is committed to giving back.  It is an honor to be able to present Miriam with this prestigious award. Her continuous service and dedication to a wonderful organization is the staple of what our Realtor family stands for.”

Miriam is a dedicated Realtor, a volunteer for the Pantry of Closter, and a member of EBCBOR’s Community Service & Outreach Committee for over 6 years. Additionally, she serves as a Board Director for the Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors and is a Trustee for EBCBOR’s Realtors Care Foundation.

On behalf of Miriam Lambert, the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS will give the Food Pantry of Closter a donation to the organization. The Food & Assistance Board (FAB) of Closter is a committee of three appointed volunteers, responsible for providing support to families in the Closter community who are in need. This support is delivered primarily through the services of the Closter Food Pantry (CFP) but also through other means where warranted. The Food & Assistance Board is not supported through State or local government funding and is driven purely by private donations. Miriam stated, "I am honored to have won EBCBOR's 2017 Good Neighbor Award.  It feels good to give back through my community service work.  I am so appreciative for the award donation to the Closter Food Pantry. With the donation we will be able to help more recipients in need in Bergen County.”

EBCBOR, chartered in 1923, has served Realtors and consumers in Bergen and Hudson counties for more than 90 years. A not-for-profit trade organization, representing over 3,800 Realtor members, EBCBOR is dedicated to enhancing the success of its membership by providing them with political advocacy, community outreach and educational opportunities.
