Bergen County YPN Collect toys for the local kids of the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack

Lyndhurst N.J. – The Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network from across Bergen County came together for their third annual toy drive fundraiser for the local kids of the Boys and Girls of Lodi/Hackensack.  This annual charity started about three years ago, and the tradition has continued since. Members wear their holiday ugly sweater and bring toy donations all as part of giving back during the holiday season.

EBCBOR 2018 President, Basil Singh stated “The Annual Toy Drive far exceeded our goals, we are excited to get out into the Community and meet the people who helped make the holidays a little extra special. We love to give back to families throughout the year, especially during the holidays. A special thanks to all of our members, affiliates and staff who contributed to this worthwhile project.”

The Young Professionals Network of Bergen County in addition to raising funds and collecting toys during the holiday season also volunteer in the summer helping out staff at the Boys & Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack during summer camp by assisting staff on a variety of activities that included arts and crafts, physical/recreational time, and conducted a mini Zumba class to encourage the kids to stay active.

Jennifer Mejia, Director of the Boys and Girls Club commended YPN’s initiative stating the following: “It is such a warm feeling to see people come together for the children of our communities. I am so happy to see Realtors® go out of their way to come and support and host important functions like their annual toy drive that give back to the community. As a Director, I am humbled and look forward to continuing to work with the young professionals in the future.”
