Volunteer Opportunities

The Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® is committed to the welfare and prosperity of the communities where we live and work. Through our charitable contributions and member involvement, we strive to help create more productive and enriched communities.

Listed below are upcoming volunteer opportunities at EBCBOR.

Ongoing Opportunities
  • Help Feed Bergen County Residents- EBCBOR Community Service Committee is collecting food and monetary donations for the Center For Food Action (CFA). CFA provides emergency food packages, rental and utility assistance, counseling, advocacy and other essential services to those in need living in northern New Jersey. This year, EBCBOR also joined in the fight to help end weekend hunger with CFA's Weekend Snack Pack Program. If you are interested in volunteering for this event please contact Miriam Lambert.  Click here to learn more about CFA

  • Donate Gently-Used Women's Professional Attire - EBCBOR's Community Service Committee is collecting women's spring/summer business clothing and accessories for the Women's Rights Information Center, a community-based nonprofit organization that provides programs and support services to women facing life-changing transitions that impact upon their economic conditions.
All items must be in good, clean condition and clothing must be on a hanger. To schedule a pick-up or for more information, contact Gerda Butt at dianaandgerda@njrealestate.com.

  • Donate Used Cell Phones for Soldiers -

The EBCBOR Community Service Committee and Chase has teamed up with Cell Phones For Soldiers, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active-duty military members and veterans. By donating gently-used cell phones you are providing free calling cards to active-duty military members to connect with loved ones as well as assisting veterans with emergency funds to alleviate communication challenges as well as physical, emotional and assimilation hardships. Don’t rest; donate today. Click here to view full list of drop off locations.

  • Mentoring Moms Program - Clean Homes, Clean Families

Did you know that Food Stamps (NJ SNAP) helps put food on the table for low income families, but doesn’t provide toiletries or household cleaning supplies that also keep families healthy ?

EBCBOR is partnering with the Bergen Volunteer Center for their annual “Clean Homes, Clean Families” initiative, part of their Mentoring Mom’s Program. Consider donating cleaning supplies for local families in need. Your kind donations will keep our clients and their homes clean and healthy!

  • "Eating & Earning" Help Schools in Bergen County- The Community Service Committee is participating in the Box Tops for Education program and donating to schools in Bergen County. If you are interested in donating please contact Miriam Lambert.
